2015 Lamborghini Aventador SV

While everyone is still waiting for the Spyder version of the recently launched Lamborghini AventadorTopGear went ahead and put ink to paper on aSuper Veloce version. The rendering is a little premature considering the Super Veloce will be the last edition released and a leaked source revealed it shouldn’t be here until 2015, but the graphics sure make it wildly entertaining. Sort of like Lamborghini meets japanimation.
The SV package offered for the Murcielago model adds an extra 100 HP over the standard model, so applying the same formula to the Aventador will get the vehicle to about 800 galloping stallions. With the extra output, plus improved aerodynamics and a reduced weight of about 220 lbs, the Aventador SV should deliver the best performance numbers Lamborghini has ever offered in a supercar. For comparison;s sake, the standard Aventador comes with a top speed of 217 mph and sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds.

Lamborghini CEO Hints at New Model Fueling Rumors "Everyday" about the Estoque

Italian sports car manufacturer Lamborghini plans to add an "everyday" model to its lineup, according to a report from Reuters quoting the firm’s CEO Stephan Winkelmann. The Lamborghini executive believes the luxury super sportscar market will return to the record levels seen in 2007 by 2013-2014. In 2007, some 35,000 super sports cars were sold, compared with around 26,000 in 2010.
And with demand from emerging markets such as China and Russia growing, Lamborghini wants to add a new model to its range to increase sales. "We are going to have a third model. It has to be an everyday car. We want to have a car which is able to be used on a daily basis," said Winkelmann, fueling rumors that a production version of the 2008 Lamborghini Estoque could be in the cards.

However, Winkelmann didn't mention anything about the type of vehicle, simply stating that Lamborghini hasn't reached a decision yet. He also said that once the decision is made, the company will need about four years to launch the car and added that the new model will be developed in-house, with help from the VW Group. “We will use synergies where possible within the (Volkswagen) group", noted Winkelmann.
Given that customers in China and other emerging markets such as Russia, India and Brazil, have a taste for four-door sports saloons, the possibility of Lamborghini producing the Estoque seems very likely.
Lamborghini's sales peaked in 2008 at 2,430 units, but in 2010 sales declined to 1,302 units, with the company expecting to sell around 1,500 cars this year, helped by the launch of its new Aventador LP 700-4 supercar.

2012 Lamborghini Indomable Concept

Remember the Lamborghini Indomable concept? It was a supercar project designed by Daniel Chinchilla Ochoa and Alberto Fernandez Albilares under a Masters Program sponsored by Lamborghini. Well, guess what? The study will be built, albeit not by Lamborghini.
A US company called 215 Racing has bought the exclusive rights for the design and will have the car built by its subsidiary Mostro Di-Potenza (Italian for “Monster of Power”). The sleek coupe will be renamed to SF22, as a tribute to the influence that the F22 fighter jet had on the car's design. In addition, SF stands for Street Fighter.
The company plans to build only 50 units of this supercar, and they want to attract customers with a mind-blowing package. "We knew that entering a market as a new supercar company has become a rarely successful trend. We hope to make our niche by offering the customers something they could never imagine," said Anthony Crudup, CEO of 215 Racing.
Now hold on to your seats: they want to equip the car with a…2,000HP 9.4-liter twin-turbo V8 572 GM engine! The monstrous powerhouse is said to develop an equally-colossal 2,000 lb-ft (2,710 Nm) of torque. Linked to a six-speed sequential transmission, the V8 would allow for wild performance: 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 265 mph (426 km/h). In addition, 215 Racing claims the car could do the quarter mile in 9.5 seconds.
The company added that the SF22 will have a carbon-fiber and Kevlar blend composite body, Airspeed adjustable intercoolers and wing / speed brakes. The American firm plans to build 2 cars per month and is already accepting orders, with first deliveries scheduled for mid-2012. The price? An eyebrow raising $950,000 (€668,000)...

2012 Lamborghini LP760-2 Aventador

We have tremendous respect for tuning firms that are able to make a car like the Lamborghini Aventador that much more amazing. Not many have been able to pull it off, but after Oakley Design’s work on the Ferrari 458 Italia, we knew they’d be one of the few to make it happen. To illustrate just how fantastic this package fits with the Aventador, Oakley Design will only be producing five units, and three of them have already been sold.
Focusing on the looks alone, anyone can see the sportier appearance given by the addition of a larger airbox, an intake feed pipe diameter, a titanium exhaust system, and a new set of lighter and wider wheels. Those additions only hint at what’s going on under the hood. Oakley Design worked up the Aventador so that it became 253 lbs lighter than the standard model and, with the help of an ECU remap, 60 HP stronger. The V12 engine now delivers a whopping 760 HP, up from the standard 700 HP. Another impressive feature for this package is that the power will be sent to the rear wheels; no all-wheel drive for this baby. No word yet on how these extra 60 ponies and their delivery will affect the car’s performance, but expect to see a slightly better 0-60 mph time than the 2.9 seconds provided from the factory model.

2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 [ VIDEO ]

Whether you’re a diehard Lamborghini fan or just get excited about exotic supercars in general, you’ll find that the new Aventador LP 700-4 is one of those vehicles that turns heads and accelerates heartbeats faster than lightning. Just in case you can’t get enough of the 700-horsepower Lambo, you might want to click over the jump to watch the latest video release from the Sant’Agata Bolognese-based automaker.
The two-minute long promotional film shows the Aventador LP 700-4 in an apocalyptic-like scene scrambling to get away as the earth crumbles under its tires. To be honest, it’s a bit too much on the fantasy side for our tastes, but we’ll let you be the judge of that.
