Last week my wife's I-485 got an RFE on Medical Examination and Photos. Why is that only my wife got it and not me the primary applicant? Any thoughts. I have read some time ago that if the Medical examinations are 1 year older at the time of application processing they would request for a new one, is that still true?

You have no option here dear ! NSC is the only place where you would file your concurrent application !

If there are any, they must have talked to some one and got it approved by now, because there is no order in approvals any way... :)

True, this affects everyone really, but was just saying from what I have seen of my ROW friends. Getting green cards within 1-2 years while the bulk of us wait for 5-6+
My point was people from countries that require Special registration have higher chances of getting struck in the name check. Dont ask me for the proof .. Its just a wild guess I am making . I may be wrong too

** You should only pee once. If USCIS finds evidence that , they will deny your I-485:)

Because the PDs are valid for the whole month I guess the date of filing should not matter it as long as it is before 30th June, I think.

I thought of adding that in the poll as I am in a similar situation. The only difference for me is that the attorney is a very big law firm and are EXTREMELY busy. My compnay is not able to do anything either since their involvement in I-485 is negligible.
I am in a bit of a pickle here :(
How about adding "No control as Lawyer will not inform when he will file".
This option may be valid for many users using the Corporate attorney.

Hi:
I filed on July 23, I-140 and 485 concurrent.
I got EAD on 5th Oct.
I had fingerpring done on OCT12.
Whne Fingerprinting was done, with 2 of my fingers, it gave message
Warning !!!!!!!! Matched (with RED color) . Rest all fingers, it displayed passed with Green color.
Does it mean it matches with some kind of FBI database and Do I need to worry about it?
Please help gurus. I have lost my sleep.

I have this dilemma. Since schedule A is exempted from LC, the priority date of Schedule A is the filing of I-140.
My question is:
Should I need to file in July to get a "July" priority date to say that I am filing using the "July VB" or can I file in August, in which I will August PD?
If I file in August then will get August PD, shouldn't it be construed that I am using the "August VB" therefore not allowed to do AOS?
My lawyer says otherwise.

One thing that is certain is, the uncertainty of the USCIS :) So, no definite answer to if/when you will get RFE.

There is no need for you to have an actual copy of the I-140. I am assuming that you want to have the documents to prevent the current employer doing any 'harm' - intentional or otherwise to your case.
AC21 states that as long as the 140 has been certified, the current employer cannot do any thing if the employee leaves.
I am NOT sure about this next point, but even if the 140 is revoked by the employer the LC and PD stay valid.
Make sure you have the receipt #s, and check the status on the USCIS website. Once 140 is certified, you are golden.
Hope this helps.

thanks for the info .. i think i will schedule a medical appt for dec 10th.
Also my birth certificate(English version too) was send along with I-485 app. So I hope that does now show up.

Hello all,
Could someone who are recently travelled via London Heathrow, please let me know what all should be done in order to obtain the DATV visa?
My flight stops there for under 2 hours (for cleaning and refuelling), and I was told I need to get the DATV since my visa expired and my approved AP alone is not enough.
Though I have gone through the required websites, i would still appreciate info from any one who recently experienced getting the DATV and travelling via London. Do I need to send I-485 receipt notice original and EAD as well?
Or is it enought to send the online application, passport, photo and AP originals?
Is there anyway to do everything in person, including handing over documents?
Also, it would be great if you could let me know how long it took to get the visa and your documents back!
Any help is GREATLY appreciated!
