Fiat 500 Sport

The Fiat 500, the first offering from the partnership of Chrysler and the European company, is set to go on sale at the end of the year. Chrysler just announced that a Sport version and two other models will join the base model.

The Sport will be powered by a 1.4-liter engine with MultiAir technology, which Chrysler claims reduces emissions up to 10 percent, compared to similar engines, while improving fuel economy and power. No official EPA fuel numbers or horsepower figures have been released yet.

The Sport will have a sport-tuned suspension and 16-inch wheels as well as a power sunroof and painted brake calipers. The 500 will also be available in Pop and Lounge versions, which will have different equipment options and exterior styling cues. More details on the differences will be announced in the coming weeks. A convertible version will be available in the spring.
