2011 Chrysler 300 Specs And Photos

Some of the details and see the next-generation full-size Chrysler 300 sedan, and the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee-has seeped out through Chrysler continuity plan recently submitted to the U.S. government.
Chrysler's relatively small lineup has just so much better with 300 for the latest sedans thanks to huge improvements across the board, make a halo vehicle brand competitive luxury sedan.

New Chrysler's 300 arrived with a sticker price only, $ 27.995 including $ 825 destination, despite the fact that the base 300 now comes with significantly more powerful 292 horsepower 3.6-liter V6, upgraded cloth seats and 17-inch wheels.

Buyers want a little more luxury can increase the level of the Limited trim, which starts at $ 31,995. Limited adds leather, hot seat, UConnect voice commands and 18-inch wheels.

While we wait for the fire-breathing SRT8 model, the 300C will stand as a victim on the line, ruled by the price of $ 38,995. 300C adds 5.7-liter V8, heated steering wheel, power adjustable pedals, power folding mirrors and LED interior lighting. An all-wheel drive version of the 300C is also available for $ 41,145.

300-equipped 5.7-liter is expected to reach 0-60 in 5.4 seconds.

Slick Styling

As is done when the redesigned Audi TT, Chrysler faces tough challenge to recreate the icon when I went to the drawing board for 300 the next. New 300 has a shape similar to its predecessor, but it looks more elegant. In front, Chrysler's move to the grille of a new company, the first advance on the concept of Imperial and the last, EV 200C concept shown at the Detroit auto show, 2009. The thin horizontal chrome bar leaner than eggcrate worn by a car today, and they provide approximately 300 new street, box-shaped barge visible. Headlight clusters are the squared and smoothed, while the front bumper is much more integrated, tighten the chin.

300 again will display the fender flares, but the bottom of the arch is much less prominent. Upper body folds create a soft shoulders curved in a straight line and sharply from the current model, and the new 300 also lost print side, giving more definition crease above. Expect visibility to be improved despite the slim A-pillars, glass over, and the much smaller C-pillar is created through the use of small A-frame window on the rear.

Although there is no rear sight, hoping to see a significant change from the current car. We anticipate the back of the net future will mimic the style of the car, better integrate the exhaust tips under a mosquito net. LED taillight is almost a certainty.

Interior Improvement

With the new Dodge Ram Chrysler shows new interest in interior quality, we expect the new 300 to use the same ingredients well. Sticking with the theme of the exterior clean, new cabin which will appear simple and smooth. The instrument panel houses two large circular gauges, similar to that in the Ram-while operating a large-screen infotainment system Chrysler's UConnect top of the center console. The climate controls below the screen.

Powertrains and Other Features

Hemi fans can relax, as the V-8 featuring cylinder deactivation will carry over from the existing model, and should boast both increased power and fuel economy. Chrysler said the new 300 will also be available with all-new "fuel-efficient" line six-cylinder-engine company has been promising the possibility of Phoenix, which we think will produce at least 260 hp. new security features will include behind the cross-paths and blind-spot monitoring system. Most, if not all, these features will probably also carry over to the redesigned 2011 Dodge Charger.

No word yet on when the new 300 will be officially revealed, but you can expect to see next and Dodge Charger to many dealers in 2010.

Viper V10-Powered Chrysler PT 10 Cruiser Truck for Sale on eBay

Whether you love it or loathe it, Chrysler’s PT Cruiser was a running success for the Detroit automaker and over its ten-year lifespan, we saw countless projects cars and tunes based on the retro-styled compact model. However, ask any true Mopar fan what the ultimate modification is for any Chrysler Group model, and you’ll most likely get the answer an engine swap with the Dodge Viper’s ferocious V10 powerplant.
Here at Carscoop, we’ve shown you plenty of Viper-powered cars ranging from a Chrysler 300 and a Dodge Challenger to a Saab 9-3 and a Jeep Wrangler. Now it’s time to add the Chrysler PT Cruiser to our list of venomous engine swaps with this eBay find.
The PT/10 Cruiser Pickup Truck is said to have been built in 2000. It is based on a custom chassis with power coming from the Viper’s V10 engine churning out 500 ponies. Other goods sourced from the Dodge sports car include the 6-speed transmission, rear suspension, steering rack and seats.
The seller claims that only two examples were built and that this one “has never been driven on the street and has only been used as a show car, there are some minor things that need completing like putting in a set of analog gauges, and some minor wiring tweaks”, adding that “it does start and run great”.
However, if you’re interested, we’d advise you to go check the car in the flesh for yourself before you make any move as a quick search on the internet revealed that some of the photos shown on the eBay page are quite old dating back to January 2006

2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8

It’s big, it’s brash, it’s powerful and it’s attempting to take on the sport saloon segment. Yes, it’s the all-new 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 and it was revealed today at the New York International Auto Show that runs for the public from April 22 to May 1.
The flagship model ofChrysler’s redesigned 300 series packs a more muscular 6.4-liter Hemi V8 pushing out an estimated 465-horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque, up 40 horsepower and 45 lb.-ft. over the 6.1-liter mill it replaces. All that power is channeled to the rear wheels through a carried over five-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
Chrysler’s projected performance numbers include 0-60 mph (96 km/h) sprint time in the high 4-second range; quarter mile in high 12 second range; 0-100-0 mph (0-160km/h-0) in less than 16 seconds, top speed of 175 mph (281 km/h) and stopping power from 60-0 mph in 120 feet.
The Auburn Hills-based company says that despite the elevated performance, the 2012 300 SRT8 returns an estimated 25-percent fuel economy increase on the highway thanks to the use of a new active valve exhaust system, which allows the standard Fuel Saver technology (four-cylinder mode) to engage over a wider rpm range. Chrysler said specific fuel economy numbers will be announced closer to the vehicle launch.
The standard 300’s chassis has been tuned on the SRT8 to improve handling. Among other changes is the introduction of a new Adaptive Damping Suspension (ADS) system that uses a variety of inputs such as vehicle speed, steering angle, steering speed, brake torque, throttle position and lateral and vertical acceleration, to adjust the suspension settings. Additionally, the driver can manually choose between "Auto" and "Sport" settings that change the shock damping and harshness characteristics.
The SRT8 also gets a specially-tuned fully-hydraulic steering system and a new braking system with 14.2 inch (front) and 13.8 inch (rear) vented/slotted rotors and four-piston Brembo calipers. Chrysler’s sportiest sedan model rides on new seven-spoke 20-inch forged alloy wheels shod in beefy tires.
The SRT-tune adds some bespoke exterior styling features such as the front grille, side sills, rear fascia that incorporates 4-inch round dual exhaust tips, and a boot lid spoiler. Interior goodies include a new leather-wrapped, flat-bottom steering wheel, real carbon fiber trim pieces, sport seats and unique instruments.
The new 2012 300 SRT8 will reach Chrysler showrooms in the third quarter of the year.

New Chrysler Dodge Mopar 2011

The Chrysler Group’s Mopar brand is on to its next project, this time based on the new 2011 Dodge Charger sedan. The factory-customized version of the rear-wheel drive Dodge saloon follows in the footsteps of last year’s Mopar ’10 Challenger and will be a limited edition model.

"After the success of our Mopar '10 Challenger, we moved on to the iconic Dodge Charger and added even more performance," said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group's service, parts and customer-care brand. "As a new company, we will continue to leverage the heritage of the Mopar brand at every turn."
For the time being, we only get a single illustration of the Mopar ’11 Charger as the Detroit automaker said it will release details of the vehicle later this month. However, the picture reveals that the special edition Charger will keep the Mopar ’10 Challenger’s black color scheme with contrasting racing stripes and gloss black alloy wheels along with a variety of other Mopar enhancements.

A Chrysler Sebring-Based Bentley Replica

Here’s a scary admission for you: I actually don’t mind the first generation Chrysler Sebring. It was sort of “Mustang-lite” in the styling department and is still a lot better looking than the latest incarnation of America’s middle-age spread, the almost universally despised third generation Sebring. And, as you no doubt know by now, we love us some eBay-found Euro reskins of fifteen plus year old American cars.

Today’s entrant is this, dare I say it, rather convincing replica of a 2009 Bentley Continental GT convertible or GTC based on a ’96 Chrysler Sebring Convertible. Fashioned in ghetto / Saudi Arabian sheik white with the typical, so-not-a-Bentley blinger rims that’d make even Lil’ Jon a lil ill, our wanna-B (you see what I did there?) comes complete with 175,000 miles on the clock and a full fibreglass body.
Before it leaves the seller’s hands, he or she claims to be fitting new carpet, a new windscreen, new door mirrors and a custom dual exhaust with genuine Bentley tips. All the buyer needs to do, we are told, is reupholster the seats, install a Bentley dash and centre console and fit a new convertible top, a new sound system and a sat nav system. And et voilà, your very own Bentley - sort of.
You have to admit, US$21,100 (€16,302) isn’t half bad for something that looks this good. You could get a ’96 Sebring for a lot less, but who wants one of those? You certainly can’t pick up a second-hand Bentley for this sort of money, that’s for sure. So, what’s the verdict? Would you or wouldn’t you? Let us know in the comments.

Toyota Prius blossoms into...Chrysler 300

From our 2011 Tokyo Auto Salon "Strange But True" files comes this custom creation of what appears to be a second generation (judging by the interior door panels) Toyota Prius hybrid wearing a...Chrysler 300 front end. The show car also features sliding rear doors, lowered suspension, larger five-spoke alloy wheels, Chrysler 300-style tail lights and a high-end audio-visual system that replaces the rear seats. More pictures after the break.

Alfa Romeo will Rebuild Under Fiat, Hopes to Move 500,000 Units by 2014

Fiat CEO Segio Marchionne has put the VW-Alfa Romeo rumors to rest...for now. Alfa will officially stay under its Italian parent's wing for at least a little while longer as Marchionne attempts to revive the ever-struggling Italian luxury automaker.
Alfa Romeo, as you may know, is not exactly pulling its weight; it is estimated that Fiat loses over $400 Million a year because of the upscale brand, which Marchionne says will have to move 300,000 units annually to earn money. For the record, Alfa is on pace for ~105,000 units this year, and Marchionne wants to hit 500,000 units by 2014 with the help of new models and the US market (possibly in 2012).
If and when Alfa does show up, America should get some cars that will aim to compete with BMW. That means on top of the entry-level Giulietta (no MiTo for us), we should get the mid-size Giulia luxury car to take on the 3-Series, a larger 169 based on Chrysler's RWD platform, and possibly a small soft-roader to compete with the X1 and X3. As for other possibilities down the line, look no further than the Alfa Romeo lineup: the Brera's successor, a new Spider, and a larger SUV are all possibilities in a perfect world.
Before any of this happens, though, Fiat, its multi-tasking head honcho, and its shareholders will soon have to make a very important decision: invest upwards of $2 Billion to pull Alfa Romeo back from the brink or ditch it and regroup.

New Chrysler Aspen Limited

Chrysler Aspen Limited 4x2 Chrysler is a full-size SUV. Aspen shares the same platform as the Dodge Durango. It is clear that when Aspen was in the drawing board we did not suffer from the credit crisis or rising gas prices. However, despite the slim size and cost of Aspen to deter buyers, some buyers really need vehicles like the Chrysler Aspen Limited 4x2 to tow a big boat or trailer. We must not forget that there is a place for vehicles with large capacity drawer.

The Chrysler Aspen Limited 4X2 uses exactly the same suspension layout as the Dodge Durango, independent, double-wishbone front and non-independent solid-axle rear. The Aspen comes with a 303-hp 4.7-liter V8 or a 335-hp 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine and either rear- or all-wheel drive. Both engines are mated to a five-speed automatic transmission and the Hemi V8 includes the Chrysler Multi-displacement System (MDS) which is capable of shutting down 4 cylinders to conserve fuel when not required.

Conventional 2009 Chrysler Aspen are available with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. 2009 Chrysler Aspen Hybrids are AWD only. Maximum towing capacity is 8900 lb for conventional models, 6000 lb for the Hybrid. A low-range gear for off-roading is an option on non-Hybrid AWD models. The 2009 Chrysler Aspen its available in safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain side airbags, and front side airbags.

Standard seating is for eight with a 2nd-row bench; available buckets reduce it to seven. A power liftgate and rearview camera are standard on all models. Leather upholstery and navigation system are standard on Hybrid and available on other models. DVD entertainment is optional on all.

The Consumer Guide Automotive compare places each vehicle into one of 18 classes based on size, price, and market position for consumer choice. Premium Midsize SUVs are similar in size and construction to Midsize SUVs. Most, in fact, are gilded versions of Midsize SUVs; though a few are exclusive upscale designs.

New or significantly redesigned models include the Infiniti FX and Mercedes-Benz M-Class. The Chrysler Aspen adds a gas/electric hybrid model, and the Mercedes-Benz M-Class and R-Class add a new diesel powerplant, as does the Volkswagen Touareg 2. (spesifikasimobilnisan.blogspot.com)
