I can not start any thread due to some funny problem on the computer or the site.

Having a "current" priority date, however, does not assure that a case will be adjudicated. The CIS, despite policy pronouncements to the contrary, clearly does not process cases on a "first in, first out" basis. Indeed, there does not appear to be any rational basis for their case selection scheme. The CIS Ombudsman has accused them of "picking the low hanging fruit" - meaning that they take "easy" cases in preference to "harder" cases, no matter when filed.
Applicants should not reasonably expect the CIS to adjudicate their pending adjustment of status applications shortly after their priority dates become current. Understand that when your priority date becomes current, that is just the start of the fight. You need to initiate vigorous inquiries through the CIS Ombudsman's office, the office of one of your Senators or your Congressman, and your own written inquiries and InfoPass appointment inquiries. Do not sit back and assume that they will do the right thing. Get on them and stay on them until your case is adjudicated.

You can own shares of a company and be paid dividend too when you are on H-1B. Getting paid dividend does not mean the dividend paying company has to also sponsor your H-1B. In the same way she is just holding shares (may be 100%) in the company. As long as she is not being paid salary she is fine. She can work pro-bono during this period. Good Luck to all of you, but nowadays if a person is below the age of 60, getting a Visitors Visa is difficult, but there are exceptional cases too.but no guarantee that they will issue a Visa. Show bank account, or real estate in their names, And also appoint letter may help, but there is no guarantee, only Visitor's visas issued for youngsters are Celebrities, Business persons, diplomats and if you are able to convince US consulate that you will come back for sure. (with proving documents!) otherwise it is difficult to my knowledge.

The moment you use your EAD to get a part time job even you still are working fultime job, your H status is suspended. You can still work with your employer who filed your GC not in H status, but with EAD.
In other words, you can only be in one status at any time. You cannot have H status and work on EAD at same time.
What happen to a person with H1B and then EAD. Main job he continues with original employer who file GC and take a partime like working in a store. What will be the interpretation and Can he do that?

I'm confused - Everyone who has a 140 is supposed to have a Labor and very likely that will be more than 365 days old. So why do anyone need 140 approval in that sense ?
The reason i'm getting nuts for 140 approval because i can't safely switch to a EAD or get a Longer duration H1B ( 3 yrs after 140 approval). I'm in major Limbo with some other folks at NSC for last 13 months just for a EB3(140) - My friends got approval in 6-8 months from TSC or if its a EB2(140) at Nebraska.
See my other post asking ideas to break this stalemate.

I used AC21 to switch the company. First my new company said I have to use my existing old attorney for my I485 case. So, I asked my old attorney to prepare AC21 documents and mailed to USCIS, which is already done.
But now the attorney from new company is saying that they are again doing AC21 documents and will be sending to USCIS. On top, new attorney is asking me to fill G28 form. Is it necessary to file AC21 document twice or make it too confusing? And this G28 is only for me, not for my wife. I am confused with whole thing. How will this work? with my case transferred to new attorney and my wife's case still with old attorney? I also heard from this new attorney that most of the time G28 and AC21 documents will never reach to USCIS file and in that case, USCIS will communicate with old attorney. On one hand, I have to tell my old attorney that I am changing attorney but on other hand I am not even sure whether USCIS will accept or not. My old attorney has been always helpful and he has all my information and original documents.
Is it advisable to switch attorney when you have I-485 pending? and is this filing of AC21 documents twice necessary or will make more confusion in my case? What is advisable in this situation? What should I say to this new company attorney and what should I say to my old attorney? I am in big dilemma...

Most of the time people change attorney due to conflit of interest. If your old attorney was hired by your previous employer to do H1 etc stuff, he might have to be loyal to your previous employer.
G28 is a "power of attorney" form. This form will allow your attorney to act/reply on your behalf for legal immigration matters.

You are not. EAD is basically for spouse. Primary applicant need to be careful on using EAD.
When you say careful, what do you think needs to be avoided? What are the dos and dont's of a primary applicant who wants to use their EAD?

Yes, I think this is absolutely true - infact, I have given myself till 2007 end for that specific reason. If nothing changes by 2007 June/July, I will start looking at Australia, Canada, UK and India (most likely I will go back to India).

With this bill, if the thought is that about half of the illegals (<5yrs) will have to leave the country and return, and that too without any guarantees, they are not going to do it unless the consequences are drastic. Some, even then may decide that staying illegally is a better option than going back.
IMHO, this bill amounts to saying,

2. Let's push the the rest of the problem away for another 10-12 years
3. A compromise

My humble opinion: the first one is the best. The second and fourth have too much large stuff in the foreground (edit: looking again, the fourth isn't too bad, maybe about as good as the first). The second and fifth shots have too much shadow in the foreground, so the eye prefers the lighter portions of the frame (which incidentally doesn't make the photos seem as deep). The third one is a good shot, but doesn't seem to have enough depth for this assignment, partly (I assume) because the background actually wasn't that far off, though using a wider lens than ~36mm (effective) might help.
My other humble opinion: wait for the birds to get out of... oops, those aren't birds. Clean your sensor! ;)

Thanks for the reply. My new employer is fine. He is sure that my current employer cannot do anything as he has failed to meet his obligation as an employer. He cannot provide me with a job at the moment. But my end client is hesitating now. They are a very big company and do not want to get into any legal issues.
If my end client says No then my new employer will also probably back out because of lack of project.

Question is:
If EAD is used for 1 month only (Sept, 07) , will that make her H1B null and void?
