Audi A4 cvt Transmission Problems

Buying an Audi sedan without Quattro all wheel-drive is like dating a Swedish brunette. That said, there’s nothing wrong with the right brunette, Bergman movies notwithstanding. And Audi makes and sells plenty of products where only the front wheels are driven, from economy cars to its aufwendig TT. In fact, Audi’s UK website proudly proclaims “a front-wheel-drive car is in principle more controllable and tracks better than conventional rear-wheel drive.” OK then, in advance of the all-new A4 headed our way in '09, let’s have a look at the Audi A4 2.0T and see if we can get past the FWD thing.

Under the guidance of northern Italian designer Walter de’Silva, Audi’s products preserve the straight, clean lines that BMW and Mercedes abandoned in pursuit of Picasso-esque titillations. The A4 maintains the simplicity of form and absence of affectation that has marked this marque’s models for decades. It’s proof positive that Audi understands understatement like Ferrari groks glamor.

2005 Audi Cars Gallery

The Audi S4 is the high performance variant variant of Audi's compact executive car. The original Audi S4, built from 1991 until 1994, was a performance-oriented version of Audi's 100 saloon/sedan. All subsequent S4s since 1997 have been based on the Audi A4; and as the A4 has evolved from one generation to the next, so has the S4.
All S4s have gained a more powerful internal combustion engine, larger uprated brakes, firmer suspension, and larger roadwheels have always been amongst the many upgrades the S4 receives over its mainstream 100 and A4 siblings. In markets where the even higher-performance Audi RS4 is not offered, the S4 is the top-of-the-line trim of the A4 family.

Audi Quattro Club Cars

In North America, Audi styling has lingered on the conservative side. Finding a smoothly shaven or color-changed quattro isn’t a common sight, compared to the VW and BMW scenes, for example. Because of this, we were excited to see Matt Demetria’s ‘04 Audi A4 1.8T quattro.
Residing in Northern California, Matt has plenty of experience with VWs and Audis.”I started working as a sales rep for a VW dealer,” he began. “Then I worked at Emotion Garage for 18 months, where people began trusting me with their cars and manufacturers would even call me for advice. After that I moved to another shop that fixed up Porsches and Lamborghinis.”
During his stint in the industry, Matt built a ‘00 Jetta VR6. “I did everything; a Votex kit, S4 wheels, racing seats and more,” he explained. “I still couldn’t keep up with all my friends, though, and it had too many maintenance problems.” He couldn’t keep up because he’s a founding member of club NoFuknJoke (NFJ) featured in et 4/07. Most of their cars are modified from head-to-toe in hardcore Euro-themes, so Matt decided to start anew with something distinctive.

Audi Vin Lookup 2010

This VIN decoder only works on Audi VINs.
It is designed to decode Audi VINs as per the global ISO 3779 standard.
It does NOT fully decode VINs for cars exported to the USA.
As always - the quality of results are proportional to any feedback I receive, so if you spot a clanger then please don't hesitate to Email me !
LATEST UPDATE - The VIN decoder has been completely rewritten and it works again - thanks entirely to Andy Burton (aka 'Sonic' on the S2 Forum) for his efforts there.
A fantastic effort that is much appreciated. In time, I have further updated the VIN decoder Javascript with support for some additional vehicles with unusual VINs such as the RS2. I could still use some help with ongoing confusion on the many 80/90 variants and the special VIN for Quattro GMBH vehicles.

Review The Audi S5 in Detail

As for a sports coupe, the Audi S5 features a sporty and elegant exterior and interior design along with clear functionality. Outside the car, you can find the radiator grille painted in platinum grey and fitted with vertical chrome inlays. The front and rear bumpers are more distinctive along with the air inlet grilles. Other exterior parts found on the Audi S5 include aluminium-look exterior mirror housings, colour-keyed door sill trim, dual-branch exhaust system with four oval tailpipes, xenon plus headlights with daytime running lights featuring LED light sand, 18-inch wheels with 245/40 R 18 performance tires, and the pronounced rear spoiler providing aerodynamic down force for better road-to-vehicle traction.

In addition to sporty exterior parts, Audi S5 also comes with a host of elegant and sporty interior amenities. Customers can choose between the available interior trims including carbon, aluminium, stainless steel or wood. Customers can also feel the dynamic environment on the interior with the car's sports seats, sports steering wheel, instruments with grey dials, and aluminium door sill plates. Just like the VW cargo liner, the Audi S5 also comes with a functional luggage compartment. Audi tuned up the S5 and installed some of the highest quality chassis parts and powertrain systems. The sports coupe comes with a specially tuned sports suspension and high-performance brakes to provide improved vehicle handling and driving dynamics. The special high-performance brakes with their black painted brake calipers ensure precise deceleration.

For challenging drivers who have starving needs for speed, they can fully deactivate the Audi S5's electronic stabilisation program (ESP) and explore the sports coupe's full driving potential. In terms of performance of a sports coupe, the Audi S5 is equipped with a monstrous V8 FSI 8-cylinder engine with an impressive and powerful output delivering 354 hp (260 kW) and produces 295 lb.-ft. (400 Nm) amount of peak torque at 3,500 rpm. With this V8 FSI engine, the Audi S5 is capable of accelerating from zero to 62 mph in a mere 5.1 seconds. Audi has also included some of the high-end powertrain technology for the V8 engine to boost the Audi S5's performance. The engine comes with a standard FSI direct injection technology with high compression and optimum fuel mixture formation. The torque distribution is perfectly balanced, 40 percent on the front axle and 60 percent torque out put carried to the vehicle's rear axle. To complete the Audi S5's powertrain system, a six-speed manual gearbox is mated to the engine to power the four wheel drive (4WD) configuration.

Audi A9 5 Best Cars

Contrary to what the badge may say on the back of this car that used to be an Audi, this is actually just the aftermath of what someone decided to do with their A6. While admittedly the craftsmanship is far from the worst custom bodywork we've ever seen, the styling is, well.. very distinctive to say the least. We're gonna go out on a limb and predict that this car is not at all hinting at some new design direction for Audi. It's been a long time since we've heard anything about an A9. The old rumors ranged from a mid-engine supercar based on the Le Mans concept (which turned out to be called the R8) to a Maybach-fighting über-sedan. Regardless, we're sure that this thing ain't no A9.
